Resumen

This dataset contains raw and processed chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (ChIP-seq) data generated to investigate how taxol-induced microtubule stabilization affects the genomic distribution of histone H3 lysine 9 dimethylation (H3K9me2) in primary rat hippocampal neurons. Primary hippocampal neurons obtained from embryonic day 18 rats were cultured in vitro and, after one day in culture, treated for 48 hours with either vehicle control (DMSO) or 3 nM taxol. Chromatin was fixed and extracted from neurons at three days in vitro. The experimental design comprises eight paired-end sequencing libraries: two H3K9me2 immunoprecipitation replicates and two corresponding input libraries for each experimental condition. The dataset includes the original paired-end FASTQ files generated by Illumina sequencing, experimental and sample metadata, quality-control information, and processed genomic data derived from read preprocessing, alignment to the mRatBN7.2 rat reference genome, assessment of library complexity, genomic signal quantification, and identification of H3K9me2-enriched regions. The data were generated in the context of a research project investigating the relationship between microtubule dynamics, nuclear organization, three-dimensional chromatin architecture, and transcriptional regulation during neuronal development. The dataset is intended to support reproducibility, independent reanalysis, and integration with microscopy and gene-regulation studies. Additional processed files and updated analyses may be incorporated as new versions of the dataset.
