The objective of the research is to obtain levulinic esters by means of a catalytic reaction of esterification of levulinic acid. For this, UiO-66 catalysts have been synthesized using the solvothermal method at 120 °C, varying the synthesis time of 24, 18, 12 and 6 hours. Two reaction systems were analyzed: batch and pressure. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and N2 adsorption isotherms. The progress of the reaction was followed by gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy. In the batch system, the MOF with synthesis of 6 hours showed the highest activity and selectivity to the desired product, while for the pressure system the MOFs with 24 and 18 hours of synthesis presented the highest yields.
