Based on the analysis of the Encuesta sobre la Situación de las Mujeres en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (2018), the article aims to explore which characteristics of women are associated with the likelihood of knowing (or not) the various available channels of assistance in situations of violence. The results show that, in general terms, women born outside of Argentina and/or with lower educational levels are less likely to be aware of the available channels of assistance, placing them in a more unfavorable situation. Additionally, younger women and those with children tend to be more aware of existing devices and services. These findings highlight the need to design targeted policies for specific segments of women aimed at promoting the dissemination of the various available devices, so that they can resort to them if needed, aiming to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency in the ways of designing and communicating current public policies.
