The argument of the series consists of making a fiction story from the personal and professional life of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, who were pioneers in the studies of sexuality of the American medicine in the decade of 1960. In the episode that we will analyze, the doctors helps to give birth a baby who is born with ambiguous genital organs. Considering the aim to analyze the question of intersexuality and its joint with the Hegelian triad, we conclude that the case includes varied aspects that it exemplifies a new event. The singularity emerges not only in the universe of the doctor but also in the decision that the parents are confronted to make, as there are no univocal medical criteria in this complex matter and the available options include irreversible actions. Both the answers of the doctor and the father will be analyzed with the clinicalanalytical method of the lecture of films and series, considering aspects related to the concept of “intersexuality” as well as the possibility of nominating a singularity. The conclusions let us establish the limits of the scientific and medical discourses as regards identity and sexuation, as well as the vicissitudes of the concept of intersexuality and the importance of an intervention orientated by the ethics.
