This paper aims to analyze, through a socio-historical perspective, the proliferation, extension and transformation of an ensemble of agents, structures and financial practices that have been consolidated in the last four decades as a financial circuit focus on the development of illegal strategies. In this exploratory exercise, we intend to characterize some of the most important characteristics of the local economy in general and the financial market in particular, but to account for illegal exchanges that shape themselves in the interstices of formal finance. This may contribute to understand certain dynamics of relevance in the local market, particularly those linked to one of the most relevant structural problems of the local economy: the capital flight.
