This paper aim to analyze the notion of «décalage» in Althusser’s texts. Its appearance will be indicated beside some important problems of its theoretical production (such as overdetermination, and the relation between production and reproduction), upholding it is possible an internal turn in Althusser’s writes throughout this category. Internal turn that will allow Althusser obtains the resources needed for its own deconstruction. At first, the «décalage» works like a hinge that allow to articulate aspects that by definition appears disarranged. But immediately we will recognize that task being impeded because of its own condition. Our suspicion is, if we want to think in its radicalism, the notion of «décalage» must be put in relation with the post-structuralism’s problematical core. Precisely, because what is hidden behind some “classical” formulations of althusserianism is the interrogation around necessity and contingence, and politics between foundation and destitution of every reality.
