In recent years, the Argentine State has taken gender inequalities and especially violence, as relevant issues in its public policy agenda. Universities, for their part, have also incorporated training and workshops on gender, gender perspective and patriarchal violence, within the framework of the Micaela Law. They have also sanctioned action protocols to deal with situations of violence in their institutional environments. All this, however, has not eradicated sex-gender inequalities or the violent, racist and classist mechanisms reproduced by the houses of studies. In this essay, the questions that arise revolve around the scope and limitations of these mechanisms responsible for legislating in the university environment within the framework of a punitivist system that preserves the vices of patriarchal justice.
