In this article we propose to present a way of approaching, in a reflective and situated way, a teaching proposal in Social Sciences: the development of teaching projects through the construction of “social problems” from a sociological approach. With this objective we will develop a series of theoretical and methodological criteria to construct social problems. The proposal is based on experiences carried out within the framework of the subject “Teaching Practice” of the Sociology Faculty (Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires) and the specific literature on the topic. As a result, we will highlight the didactic potential of teaching from social problems with high social relevance and, at the same time, disciplinary. In particular, in contexts in which Sociology - or social issues from a sociological approach - must be taught to young people and adults who are unlikely to be sociologists or have an interest in the discipline, but who are citizens and hence the importance of promoting a thought critical and rigorous about the social.
