Transverse vibrations of an orthotropic rectangular plate of linearly varying thickness and with a free edge

Abstract

This study addresses the determination of the fundamental frequency of the plate or slab when the edge x=a is free and the other three are subjected to all possible supported combinations. Eigenvalues are determined by using the optimized Rayleigh-Ritz and the finite element methods.
