This article recovers, from an archival-philological perspective, two moments in Julio Cortázar's intellectual trajectory linked to the revolutionary project of Sandinism in Nicaragua: on the one hand, his participation as a cultural disseminator in the gestation of what is now known as the "Julio Cortázar" Museum of Contemporary Art; on the other, the peaceful vigil in the border town (Nicaragua-Honduras) of Bismuna in January 1983, through a re-reading of his essayistic-journalistic writings as a correspondent for the EFE news agency. In order to rethink and reconsider the official process of Sandinista memorialisation, in which a neo-liberal state-administrative ideology tends to prevail, not without contradictions and upheavals, the points presented are charged with political meaning insofar as they put into tension a predominant way of understanding and constructing revolutionary subjectivity. In this way, the proposed route allows us to glimpse the commitment to multiple forms of making community present in Cortázar's work.
