This paper summarizes the process of implementation of sustainable land management (SLM) practices within the framework of the "Crecer Cooperando" project executed by the Cricyt Foundation through financing arising from the agreement between the Banco Credicoop Foundation and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). In this regard, technology transfer was carried out in Santa Rosa, Mendoza, for the use of solar energy in cooking food, production of drinking water and assembly of family gardens. To explore the benefits in the family economy, a first approximation of the cost-benefit calculation of the implemented SLM practices is made. In a territory with strong desertification processes that affect the environment and the socio-economic conditions of the population, the SLM practices implemented represent concrete actions to mitigate the processes of land degradation, improve the family economy and increase the quality of life of the population.
