Representaciones de estudiantes de Ingeniería sobre la Física: análisis desde un enfoque estructural

Abstract

Se presenta un estudio exploratorio realizado con 160 estudiantes de Ingeniería con el objetivo de caracterizar y describir las representaciones que comparten sobre la Física. Se empleó una metodología cualicuantitativa con un enfoque interpretativo. Se aplicó una prueba de evocación de palabras jerarquizadas y se analizó el contenido y la estructura de la representación. Los resultados sugieren un proceso representativo en formación caracterizado por elementos centrales del dominio de la mecánica y nociones relativas a la visión de ciencia que comienzan a ser incorporadas al campo de la representación. Los resultados se discuten a la luz de los alcanzados en otros estudios y de las decisiones teórico-metodológicas marco de la investigación.We present an exploratory study conducted with 160 engineering students in order to characterize and describe the representations that share about Physics. We used a qualitative and quantitative methodology with an interpretative approach. We applied a hierarchical evocation test and analyzed the content and structure of the representation. The results suggest a representative process in progress, characterized by central elements of the domain of mechanics and concepts relating to the vision of science that begin to be introduced in the representational field. The results are discussed in the light of those obtained in other studies and the research theoretical and methodological decisions.
