To do this, attention is paid to the changes that have taken place since the mid-twentieth century at the international level, around the so-called New Museology. Empirically, we work with the documentary funds of the museum, the personal archive of its organizer and first director, Pedro Alberto Sinópoli, press of the time and oral interviews. Due to its collections, and due to the circumstances in which it was created, the studied institution is projected as a space in which traditional aspects of Rosario society are intermingled, with renovating museological perspectives.
