The Green Public Spaces (EVP) provide essential ecosystem services for urban environments: they not only affect people's quality of life, but also act as regulators of the urban microclimate and urban drainage in a sustainable way. In this sense, green and blue infrastructures are constituted as strategic tools for adaptation / mitigation of climate change. Its design and planning must integrate urban planning and ecology to create a rational base with which to shape the city landscape. This chapter incorporates contributions from architecture such as Urban Road Channels (CVUs), as well as from environmental sciences, in relation to indicators of socio-economic wellbeing defined by international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Union European, which allowed evaluating the importance of the small squares on the boulevards of Avenida Argentina. We understand that the planning and management of the EVP must be approached interdisciplinary, so that the sociological, ecological, environmental and urban perspective is comprehensively covered.
