Narrativas infantiles en contexto: un estudio en hogares de barrios urbano marginados de Buenos Aires

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta el análisis de las narraciones de experiencia personal producidas por niños pequeños de barrios urbano marginados de Buenos Aires, en conversaciones con sus padres, hermanos y otros compañeros de juego. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar las diferentes formas en las que las narraciones producidas por niños pequeños de barrios urbano-marginados se insertan funcionalmente en el contexto de la interacción social. Asimismo, intenta explorar las relaciones entre dichas formas de inserción y el uso de algunas estrategias de textualización por parte de los niños, tales como el empleo de marcadores causales y temporales. Recurriendo a un procedimiento cualitativo de análisis de los datos, se elaboró inductivamente una taxonomía de las narraciones infantiles que permitió, inicialmente, clasificarlas en narrativas auto y héterorreguladas. Asimismo las primeras fueron clasificadas en varios tipos, considerando la relación de anclaje de las narrativas con otras entidades contextuales o discursivas: un objeto presente en la situación, otras narrativas producidas de experiencias personales o de eventos habituales o una discusión. The present paper analyzes the narratives of personal experience that children from marginalized urban communities in Buenos Aires, Argentina produce in conversations with their parents, siblings and friends. The main purposes of this article are to identify the ways in which those narratives fit functionally into their context of social interaction and to explore the relationship between the ways in which children insert narratives into the interactional situation and their use of textualization strategies, such as the inclusion of temporal and causal markers. The study uses a qualitative method to derive inductively a system of categories that identifies different types of narratives in the corpus, taking into account whether the narrative was auto- or heteroregulated and the way in which it fit functionally into the context. Furthermore, the former narratives were classified regarding their relationship with other contextual or discursive entities. Thus, there are described narratives of personal experiences that spur from an object present in the context, narratives rooted in a report of a general situation produced either by the child or by his interlocutor and narratives rooted in a report of a personal experience produced by another person. The results also show that there is a relationship between the use of certain linguistic devices (for example, temporal and causal markers) and the type of narrative.
