La inseguridad como problema público desde un barrio del conurbano bonaerense

Abstract

En este artículo, mepropongo analizar cómo la cuestión de la inseguridad ha emergido como problemapúblico desde un barrio periférico de Buenos Aires. Si los análisis académicossuelen destacar la centralidad de los medios de comunicación en la construcciónde la cuestión y ciertos rasgos peculiares de las víctimas reconocidas comolegítimas, aquí me interesa explorar el trabajo colectivo por ser incorporadoen ese canon (y desafiar sus límites). Para ello, seguiré la articulacióncolectiva de tres lenguajes de movilización: uno asociado a la figura de lavíctima, otro heredado de las manifestaciones populares y un tercero vinculadoa mediaciones tecnológicas recientes.

In this paper, I pretend to analyze how insecurity has emerged as a public problem in a peripheral neighborhood of Buenos Aires. While academic researches usually emphasize the role of media in the construction of insecurity and the specific features of victims recognized as legit-imate, here I am interested in exploring the collective work of being included in the canon (and challenge its limits). In order to achieve my goals, I will focus on the collective articulation of three languages of mobilization: one linked to the image of the victim, another one inherited from pop-ular protests and a third one connected to current technological devices.
