In December 2015 a right-wing coalition (“Cambiemos” or “Let’s Change”, in English) won elections in Argentina and since then a new view of migration begun to take form, reaching its maximum expression by National Decree (DNU) No. 70, issued on January 2017 by the Executive Branch and aimed to modify Law 25,871. In this paper, I seek to contribute to a diagnosis on the DNU effects through a quantitative analysis of lawsuits submitted, at national level. The period in analysis covers from February 2015 to December 2017, for fifteen jurisdictions. Finally, and to put into context the results, some data from expulsion orders, residency cancellation and removal executions are incorporated. In the conclusions, an important shifting of claims to Judiciary Branch is perceived.
