Abstract

Este trabajo se propone contribuir al conocimiento de la historia de la traducción en la Argentina analizando la función de la importación literaria en un contexto signado por la parcial clausura de la esfera pública como consecuencia de las políticas represivas digitadas por la dictadura, entre 1976 y 1983. Para analizar cómo, en el cruce de una doble restricción política y económica, la traducción de literatura y de ciencias sociales obró la apertura a discursividades foráneas en el espacio discursivo controlado del período, se procederá a un estudio de caso: la colección Biblioteca Total dirigida por Beatriz Sarlo y Carlos Altamirano para el Centro Editor de América Latina entre 1976 y 1978.

This work aims to contribute to the knowledge of the history of translation in Argentina, from the analysis of the function of literary importation in a context marked by the partial closure of the public sphere as a result of the repressive policies pursued by the dictatorship between 1976 and 1983. This paper aims to analyze how, in the midst of a political and economic double restriction, the translation of literature and social sciences allowed an opening to foreign discourses in the controlled discursive space of the time. Our case study is that of the collection Biblioteca Total directed by Beatriz Sarlo and Carlos Altamirano for the Centro Editor de América Latina between 1976 and 1978

Cet article a pour but de contribuer à l’exploration des pratiques d’importation littéraire en Argentine entre 1976 et 1983. Son objectif spécifique est d’expliquer comment, dans un climat marqué par des restrictions politiques et économiques, la traduction littéraire et des sciences humaines a permis l’ouverture aux discours étrangers dans l’espace discursif contrôlé de l’époque. Cet objectif sera développé à partir d’une étude de cas: la collection Biblioteca Total dirigée par Beatriz Sarlo et Carlos Altamirano au Centro Editor de América Latina entre 1976 et 1978.
