Cartografías de la educación intercultural : acerca de los maestros indígenas en Argentina

Abstract

En Argentina, desde la restitución democrática, existen proyectos escolares para incluir y atender las necesidades de las poblaciones étnicamente diversas. Sin embargo, los cambios a nivel discursivo, legislativo e institucional en favor de una Educación Intercultural Bilingüe (EIB) no han impactado de manera significativa en las históricas prácticas a través de las cuales el sistema educativo ha atendido a la «cuestión indígena». En este entramado, una de las figuras más discutidas y clave es la de los docentes, de allí la importancia de centrarnos en el rol de los maestros (indígenas y no–indígenas) dentro de la EIB. A partir de la descripción y análisis de distintas experiencias de implementación de la EIB, en diversos contextos provinciales, el presente artículo propone un recorrido en torno a la cotidianeidad del quehacer docente en ámbitos interculturales, poniendo énfasis tanto en las regulaciones existentes como en los desafíos presentes y futuros.

In Argentina, since the restitution of democracy, there are school projects to include a support the needs of the ethnical diverse populations. However, the changes at discourse, legislative, and institutional levels for a Bilingual Intercultural Education (BIE) have not impacted in a significant manner in the historical practices by means of which the educational system has taken care of the «the indigenous matter». In this context, one of the most controversial and key figures is the one of the teachers, that is why it is important to center in the role of the teachers (indigenous or non–indigenous) within the BIE. From the description and analysis of the different experiences of implementation of BIE, in the different provincial contexts, the present articles proposes a trip along the every day of the teachers endeavor in intercultural realms, with emphasis both in the existing regulations and the present and future challenges.
