La novela argentina fundada por un vago que silba (y dicta): Potpourri de Cambaceres

Abstract

Publicada sin firma de autor en 1882 por una prestigiosa imprenta de Buenos Aires, la primera novela de Cambaceres proyecta a nivel textual la potencia del anonimato, al desarrollar un juego enunciativo de afinidades entre autor, narrador y personaje, donde las palabras realizan acciones referidas a la develación de lo encubierto por la propia clase social. El narrador dice escribir por ocio y sin plan, pero motivado por la infidelidad femenina interviene en la trama novelesca: despliega acciones (observar a sus contemporáneos, dialogar con otros y con sí mismo, leer/escribir sobre todo cartas) que conducen la peripecia a una resolución moralmente ambigua. La novela emerge en la literatura argentina con el impacto de tales tensiones, narradas en una lengua abierta a la heterogeneidad, que al mezclar lugares enunciativos, oralidad y escritura, jergas locales e idiomas europeos, agrega a la incitación moral una fecunda provocación estética.

Published without author signature in 1882 by a prestigious printing house of Buenos Aires, the first novel of Cambaceres project to textual level the power of the anonymity, developing an expository game of affinities between author, narrator and character, where the words realize actions that unveil what is concealed by the own social class. The narrator says to write by leisure and without plan, but -motivated by feminine infidelity- takes part in the novelesque plot: he deploys actions (observe to his contemporary, converse with others and with himself, read/write specially letters) that drive the peripeteia to a morally ambiguous resolution. The novel surface in Argentine literature with the impact of such tensions, narrated in a language opened to heterogeneity, that mix expository places, orality and writing, local slangs and European languages; the text add to moral incitement a prolific aesthetic provocation.
