Amar a los aparatos : Gilbert Simondon y una nueva cultura técnica

Abstract

El artículo sintetiza los aportes fundamentales del filósofo francés Gilbert Simondon a la filosofía de la técnica. Simondon reivindica la perspectiva ingenieril frente a las posturas humanísticas corrientes en este campo, al menos hasta la década del ’60, y también la perspectiva humanística respecto de la ingenieril. Asimismo, pretende subrayar la originalidad de la teoría de Simondon en cuanto a la constitución de una nueva “cultura técnica” que supere la alienación del hombre respecto del hecho técnico creado por él mismo y que permita recuperar el amor a los objetos y sistemas técnicos. Para ello repone los principales puntos de discusión de Simondon con la filosofía de la técnica, así como las reformulaciones que han hecho algunos de sus comentaristas, fundamentalmente en lo que hace a su relación con la teoría marxista.

This article summarizes the main contributions of French philosopher Gilbert Simondon to the philosophy of technics. Simondon defends engineering perspective facing humanistic positions that are currents in this field –at least until the decade of the ‘60–, and also the humanistic perspective facing engineering positions. Furthermore, it aims to emphasize the originality of the theory of Simondon in terms of the constitution of a new “technical culture” that exceeds the alienation of man with respect to the technical fact created by himself, and that would allow to recover the love to the technical objects and systems. For this purpose it reinstates the main points of discussion of Simondon with the philosophy of technics, as well as the reformulations made by some of his commentators, mainly in respect to his relationship with Marxist theory.
