Itinerarios del goce textual: De Barthes a Masotta

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo propone la indagación del vínculo entre Roland Barthes y Oscar Masotta, a fin de evidenciar la articulación de la práctica crítica surgida en la teoría francesa proyectada sobre la escena cultural argentina de las décadas del 60 y 70. Esta operación de lectura y apropiación pude advertirse, en principio, a partir de la noción de "discontinuidad", elaborada por Barthes hacia 1962 en su lectura sobre Mobile de Michel Butor. La noción es tomada por Masotta y reelaborada algunos años más tarde, en 1966, para dar cuenta de los lenguajes del pop art y la irrupción de una estética de los medios. Al mismo tiempo, puede advertirse en estos autores, aunque por vías singulares, el tránsito desde una perspectiva semiológica estructural hacia el psicoanálisis como método de lectura y producción crítica.

The following study proposes a research of the link between Roland Barthes and Oscar Masotta, to the end of showing the articulation of the critical practice born with the French theory and its projection over the Argentinean cultural scene of the 1960s. This reading operation and appropriation can be seen in the notion of ‘discontinuity’, created by Barthes towards 1962 in his reading of Michel Butor’s Mobile. Some years later, in 1966, this notion is taken by Masotta and re-elaborated to account for the pop-art languages and the irruption of certain aesthetics in the media. Simultaneously, through their unique ways, both authors transit from a semiological structural perspective to psychoanalysis as a method for reading and critical production.
