Nivel de desempeño académico y aspectos socioeconómicos en la Argentina, el NOA y Salta

Abstract

La Evaluación Nacional Aprender, realizada en la Argentina en 2016, permite reflexionar acerca la calidad educativa, pero además sobre las desigualdades jurisdiccionales entre las áreas más pequeñas y el total nacional, advirtiéndose la heterogeneidad existente. En esta oportunidad se analizan datos de los estudiantes del último año del secundario de la provincia de Salta, la región del Noroeste argentino (NOA) y el total del país. Salta, junto con otras provincias del norte argentino, posee localidades que se encuentran entre las menos desarrolladas del país. Esta realidad invita a reflexionar para orientar las acciones hacia la mejora de diversos aspectos, especialmente en materia de calidad educativa. Los resultados de Aprender ponen en el tapete una realidad que urge ser analizada y transformada. Los datos muestran que la provincia de Salta presenta situaciones de vulnerabilidad más marcadas frente a la media nacional, en cuanto a aspectos como el índice socioeconómico del alumno o el acceso a conexión a internet. En este sentido, la provincia se acerca más a las cifras del NOA, que es similarmente vulnerable, pero en los resultados sobre nivel de desempeño educativo Salta, muestra cifras más parecidas al total nacional y superiores a la región.

The National Assessment Aprender, carried out in Argentina in 2016, allows reflecting on the educational quality, but also on the jurisdictional inequalities between the smaller areas and the national total, noting the existing heterogeneity. In this opportunity we analyze data of the students of the last year of secondary of the province of Salta, the region of the Noroeste argentino (NOA), and the total of the country. Salta, together with other provinces of northern Argentina, has localities that are among the least developed in the country. This reality invites reflection to guide actions towards the improvement of various aspects, especially in matters of educational quality. The results of Aprender bring to the table a reality that needs to be analyzed and transformed. The data show that the province of Salta presents vulnerability situations more marked compared to the national average, in terms of aspects such as the socioeconomic index of the student, or access to Internet connection. In this sense, the province is closer to the figures of the NOA, which is similarly vulnerable, but in the results on level of educational performance, Salta, shows figures more similar to the national total and higher than the region.
