Testimonios pese a todo: A propósito de Camuflaje (Perel, 2022)

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza el film Camuflaje (Perel, 2022), considerando sus elecciones a la hora de configurar representaciones sobre la última dictadura cívico-militar argentina – y la vigencia de sus efectos –, evidenciadas en la caracterización que realiza de uno de sus espacios emblemáticos: la guarnición de Campo de Mayo, donde funcionaron varios centros clandestinos de tortura y detención. La estructura narrativa del film se organiza en base a la presencia de conversaciones y diálogos entre el escritor Félix Bruzzone y un grupo de personas vinculadas de diversa manera con Campo de Mayo. El abordaje planteado problematiza las relaciones entre la palabra y la imagen, la entidad del testimonio, los límites de la representación, los vínculos entre tiempos pasados y presentes y la pertinencia de emplear “fórmulas de representación” (Burucúa; Kiatkowski, 2014), para dar cuenta de las vinculaciones entre un hecho histórico comprendido en la categoría de genocidio y los modos de considerarlo desde la producción cultural, en este caso el discurso fílmico.

This work analyzes the film Camuflaje (Perel, 2022), considering its choices in representating of the last Argentine civil-military dictatorship – and the validity of its effects –, as evidenced in the characterization it makes of one of its spaces: the emblematic Campo de Mayo garrison, where several clandestine torture and detention centers operated. The narrative structure of the film is organized based on the presence of conversations and dialogues between the writer Félix Bruzzone and a group of people linked in various ways to Campo de Mayo. The approach problematizes the relationships between the word and the image, the entity of the testimony, the limits of representation, the links between past and present times and the relevance of using “formulas of representation” (Burucúa; Kiatkowski, 2014), to give an account of the links between a historical event included in the category of genocide and the ways of considering it from the point of view of cultural production, in this case filmic discourse.
