Resumen
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) can only be diagnosed when it is in an advanced stage, through the use of imaging methods. However, these methods are only available in third level health institutions. In addition, no specific markers have been determined for its evolutionary diagnosis, as would an electrocardiographic test. In this work, we present several biomarkers that aim to predict the potential development of the pathology, computed from the study of cardiac vector dynamics, specifically the linear and angular velocities. The study includes 125 patients whith more than one-year follow-up until their HCM diagnosis and 91 control subjects. Significant decreases in angular velocity are observed during the early cardiac repolarization phase and increases in linear velocity in ventricular depolarization. These biomarkers could complement the electrocardiographic study in cardiological patients, and strongly contribute of diagnosis of the pathology at an early stage.
