Edipo intervenido: Intertextualidad y lenguajes múltiples

Abstract

Pretendemos aludir a versiones de Edipo Rey de Sófocles que, en el teatro argentino de los últimos años, apelan a la pluralidad y la diversidad como criterios de escritura. En ellas, el mito clásico aparece como una trama en la que se tejen otros textos literarios, culturales, políticos, sociales. La confluencia de diversos lenguajes artísticos produce un relato expansivo que se despliega a través de distintos medios y soportes, y se constituye en el elemento que más contribuye a la resignificación del mito y sus lecturas. En ocasiones, la mixtura de códigos artísticos forma parte de un trabajo de experimentación, que abre el texto a nuevos y múltiples sentidos mientras que, en otros casos, se encuentra al servicio de subrayar los valores de la tragedia y sus resonancias en la actualidad.

We intend to allude to versions of Oedipus the King by Sophocles that, in the Argentine theater of recent years, appeal to plurality and diversity as writing criteria. In them, the classical myth appears as a plot in which other texts are woven literary, cultural, political, social. The confluence of diverse artistic languages produces an expansive story that unfolds through multiple media and supports, and constitutes the element that most contributes to the resignification of myth and its readings. Sometimes, the mixture of artistic codes is part of a work of experimentation, which opens the text to new and multiple meanings while, in other cases, it is at the service of underlining the values of tragedy and its resonances today.
