Configuración y recepción del mito troyano: De Homero al s. XXI

Abstract

A partir de los conceptos de mŷthos y de lógos, claves de la cultura griega supuestamente contrarias, se presenta el “mito troyano” como toda la producción relativa a acontecimientos relacionados con Troya y sus personajes. Se propone una ‘línea de lectura’ de las obras literarias conservadas para reconstruir la secuencia cronológica de los hechos y, luego, se pasa revista a qué aportaciones al mito han realizado otras producciones, griegas y latinas, de época helenística, tardía y medieval. Finalmente, se hace un elenco, necesariamente incompleto, de obras plásticas, musicales, literarias, cinematográficas, que a lo largo de los siglos recuperan y reelaboran el mito. Se concluye que este mŷthos se transformó así en lógos, en ‘discurso’ de distintos géneros artísticos y de distintas épocas e ideologías, demostrando no sólo su vitalidad sino también su eficacia.

From the concepts of mŷthos and lógos, which are keys of the Greek culture –supposedly conflicting–, it is presented here the “Trojan myth” as the production in relation to the events linked with Troy or its characters. It is proposed a ‘reading line’ of the literary works which we preserve, in order to reconstruct the chronological sequence of the facts; and then, they are reviewed the contributions which other productions –Greek, Latin, from the Hellenistic, Late and Medieval periods– have made to this myth. Finally, it is made a list, necessarily incomplete, of plastic, musical, literary, cinematographic works, which pick up and recreate the myth across the centuries. The conclusion is that the mŷthos became a lógos, a discourse of different artistic genres pertaining to different times and ideologies; and it demonstrates its vitality and also its efficacy.
