Perseguir al anarquista. La División de Investigaciones de la Policía de Rosario y su inscripción en la trama internacional: un estudio de caso a partir de la huelga de estibadores de 1906

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo explicar el problema de la conformación del perfil de los sujetos peligrosos por parte de la División de Investigaciones de la Policía de Rosario, en el marco del combate internacional del anarquismo, a partir del estudio de caso de la huelga de estibadores portuarios de octubre de 1906. Se utiliza como fuente a los prontuarios policiales, tecnología puesta en circulación de forma sistemática por primera vez en el marco de aquella huelga. Creemos que la policía priorizó la identificación de la matriz anarquista, entendida como arquetipo del sujeto peligroso, antes que resolver los homicidios. Por otra parte, afirmamos que los obreros ensayaron repertorios de contestación coordinados ante las detenciones policiales y los interrogatorios a que fueron sometidos. El trabajo busca aportar la experiencia rosarina en torno a la matriz trasnacional de lucha contra el anarquismo.

The aim of this paper is to explain the problem of how the Investigations Division of the Rosario Police constructed the profile of dangerous subjects in the context of the international fight against anarchism, based on the case study of the dockworkers' strike of October 1906. The sources used are the police records, a technology that was systematically put into circulation for the first time in the context of that strike. We argue that the police prioritized the identification of anarchist militancy, understood as the archetype of the dangerous subject. On the other hand, we affirm that the workers rehearsed repertoires of coordinated protest against the police arrests and interrogations to which they were subjected. This paper seeks to contribute to the experience of Rosario in terms of the transnational dynamics of the struggle against anarchism.
