Aplicación de la teoría fundamentada en una investigación sobre travestis y mujeres trans sudamericanas que residen en el AMBA

Abstract

El artículo describe una serie de procedimientos metodológicos aplicados en una investigación empírica cualitativa sobre los proyectos migratorios de las travestis y mujeres trans sudamericanas que residen en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires. Se emplea el método de la teoría fundamentada y de manera auxiliar el relato de vida. Así, se explica el modo en que fue elaborado el muestreo teórico y aplicado el método de la comparación constante. Estos procesos llevan a considerar el procesamiento de la información, el uso del software atlas ti y la codificación elaborada (abierta, axial y selectiva), teniendo en cuenta que el método propuesto por la teoría fundamentada establece que el investigador se encuentra en condiciones de delimitar y escribir la teoría emergente sobre un determinado fenómeno, cuando se alcanza la saturación teórica. Para ello se especifica en que consiste esta tarea y cuáles son los criterios para determinarla. El artículo aporta una manera de aplicar la Teoría Fundamentada que resulta útil para los abordajes pedagógicos didácticos que se propongan la enseñanza el quehacer investigativo.

The article describes a series of methodological procedures applied in a qualitative empirical research on the migratory projects of transvestites and South American trans women residing in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires. The method of grounded theory is used and, in an auxiliary way, the life story. Thus, the way in which the theoretical sampling was developed and the constant comparison method applied is explained. These processes lead to consider the information processing, the use of the atlas ti software and the elaborate coding (open, axial and selective), taking into account that the method proposed by the grounded theory establishes that the researcher is in a position to delimit and write the emerging theory about a certain phenomenon, when the theoretical saturation is reached. For this, it is specified what this task consists of and tasks are the criteria to determine it. The article provides a way of applying Grounded Theory that is useful for didactic pedagogical approaches that are proposed to teach research.
