Trayectorias líricas: del romancero español al tango argentino

Abstract

El objetivo de esta ponencia es analizar la peculiar presencia de un romance español, “Boda de negros” de Francisco Quevedo, en el repertorio poético del tango argentino. En efecto, dicho texto ingresa con ciertas transformaciones en el corpus poético del tango bajo el título “Milonga en negro”, de la mano del autor, compositor e intérprete Edmundo Rivero. Para efectuar este trabajo tendremos en cuenta el circuito operado por dicho romance; las condiciones contextuales en que se produjo tal inserción, y las características textuales conservadas o modificadas que permitieron este pasaje. Este trabajo reclama la revisión de conceptos como el de “poesía culta”, el de “poesía popular” y las relaciones entre ambos, así como evoca clásicas teorías sobre la lírica, entre ellas la del “estado latente” de Menéndez Pidal.

The objective of this presentation is to analyze the particular presence of a Spanish romance, “Bodas de negros” by Francisco Quevedo, in the poetic repertory of the Argentinian tango. Indeed, the mentioned text enters with certain transformations in the poetic corpus of tango under the title “Milonga en negro”, thanks to the author, composer and performer Edmundo Rivero. To proceed with this task we will consider the circuit operated by the mentioned romance; the contextual conditions in which that insertion occurred, and the textual features kept or modified which allowed this passage. This work claims the revision of concepts such as “academic poetry”, “popular poetry” and the relationships between them, and recalls classic theories about poetry, among them the one of the “latent condition” by Menéndez Pidal.
