Desde el estructuralismo al neoestructuralismo latinoamericano: retomando la ruta prebischiana del poder

Abstract

El artículo analiza cómo el paso del estructuralismo al neoestructuralismo latinoamericano se caracterizó por el desplazamiento del rol que juegan las relaciones de poder en distintas dimensiones analíticas, a saber: en la formación histórica de las estructuras productivas periféricas; en las relaciones de conflicto; en el excedente; en el rol de la industrialización como estrategia de desarrollo; en la intervención del Estado; y en la dimensión espacial. Finalmente, se argumenta la importancia de recuperar estas dimensiones en toda propuesta orientada a actualizar el pensamiento latinoamericano del desarrollo a partir de establecer un diálogo entre el estructuralismo y el neoestructuralismo.

This paper analyzes how the shift from structuralism to neo-structuralism is characterized by a displacement of the role played by the relations of power in several analytical dimensions, namely: the historical formation of peripheral productive structures, the conflictual relations, the surplus, the role of industrialization as a development strategy, the state’s intervention, and the spatial dimension. Finally, the importance of recovering these dimensions is highlighted in order to update the Latin American development thought by promoting a dialogue between structuralism and neo-structuralism.
