El compromiso emocional de los estudiantes hacia el contexto educativo: su vinculación con factores temporales y con variables demográficas

Abstract

El artículo presenta un marco teórico en el que, en un primer momento, se profundiza el estudio sobre el compromiso académico y la perspectiva temporal, para luego describir los resultados preliminares de una investigación en curso, en la que se aplicaron tres instrumentos: un cuestionario diseñado ex profeso dirigido a evaluar el compromiso emocional hacia el apoyo ofrecido por el contexto, el Inventario de Perspectiva Temporal (Zimbardo & Boyd, 1999) y el Cuestionario de Perspectiva Temporal Futura Trascendente (Boyd & Zimbardo, 1997). El objetivo del trabajo es mostrar la vinculación existente entre el compromiso emocional y seis factores temporales. Los resultados mostraron correlaciones significativas entre estas variables y beneficiaron a las mujeres.

This paper presents a theoretical framework in which, at first, describes the study of academic engagement and temporal perspective. Then presents the preliminary results of an ongoing investigation in which a questionnaire that assesses emotional engagement to the support offered by the context was designed and applied, alongside with Time Perspective Inventory (Zimbardo & Boyd, 1999) and Future Time Perspective Questionnaire Transcendent (Boyd & Zimbardo, 1997). The aim of this work is to examine the link between the principal construct of study and the factors of the other instruments. The results showed significant correlations between these variables and benefited women.
