Sentido mínimo de sí mismo y agencia: un análisis del núcleo de la actividad subjetiva

Abstract

El símismo [self, Selbst] ha sido unprincipio explicativo para comprender la conciencia en su carácter subjetivo. Elpresente trabajo analiza lo que Gallagher ha denominado el sí mismo mínimo, su núcleo esencial, en sus dos modalidadesseparables de experiencia: el sentido depropiedad y el sentido de agencia.Se ofrecen algunas objeciones a esta distinción tajante, que, a su vez, hacedel sentido de propiedad el aspecto fundante. La fenomenología de experienciasnormales (movimientos involuntarios o pensamientos espontáneos) y patológicas (lainserción de pensamientos o el delirio de control) nos conducirían alcomponente esencial de la naturaleza agencial del sí mismo: la intencionalidad,esto es, un carácter o capacidad relacional. Este parecería permanecer inclusoen patologías extremas, por lo que podría proponerse que el sentido mínimo yfundamental de sí mismo no estaría originariamente ligado ni a neuronas o movimientosni a estados psicológicos de conciencia.

The self has been an explanatory principle to understand consciousness in its subjective character. This paper analyses what Gallagher has called the minimal self, its essential core, in its two separable modalities: the sense of ownership and the sense of agency. Some objections are offered to this sharp distinction, which, in turn, considers the sense of ownership as the founding aspect. The phenomenology of normal experiences (involuntary movements or unbidden thoughts) as well as pathological ones (thought insertion or delusion of control) should lead us to the essential component of the agentic nature of the self: intentionality, that is, a relational character or capacity. The minimal and fundamental sense of self seems consequently not to be originally linked neither to neurons or movements nor to psychological states of consciousness.
