De la legitimación a la profesionalización: los teatros vocacionales durante el primer peronismo

Abstract

La incursión de las políticas públicas en la esfera cultural durante el período1946-1955 significó la concreción de un proyecto de gran complejidad desdedonde se promocionó el arte y la educación artística desde distintas vías. Unade ellas fue la educación artística oficial a través de la creación de escuelasy conservatorios cuyo fin era formar artistas profesionales. La otra, fue lapromoción desde el Estado de numerosas experiencias artísticas de índolevocacional o amateur, que tenían como objetivo central democratizar contenidosculturales a la vez que jerarquizar la cultura popular. Nos proponemos reconstruir y analizar una de esas experiencias, la de los teatrosvocacionales, considerando sus prácticas, alcances y objetivos, a la vez que suvinculación con las experiencias artísticas similares precedentes en el país, muchas de ellas desarrolladas ya en los inicios del siglo XX.

The incursion of public policies into the cultural sphere during the period 1946-1955 meant the realization of a project of great complexity where art and artistic education were promoted from different ways. One of these was formal arts education through the creation of schools and conservatories aimed at training professional artists. The other was the promotion by the State of numerous artistic experiences of a vocational or amateur nature, whose main objective was to democratize cultural content while hierarchizing popular culture. We intend to reconstruct and analyze one of these experiences, that of the vocational theatres, considering their practices, scope, objectives, and, at the same time, its connection with the previous similar artistic experiences in the country, many of them were already developed at the beginning of the twentieth century.
