Biocódices: Una empresa argentina de investigación y desarrollo de genómica y bioinformática

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como propósito describir la experiencia acumulada en la creación y el arranque comercial de biocódices, una empresa de investigación y desarrollo de genómica y bioinformática argentina. Como toda empresa nacida desde la esperanza de generar un logro científico y comercial, este trabajo inevitablemente rondará las razones de por qué, cómo y para qué ha surgido esta empresa de base tecnológica. Pienso que lo mejor que puede ofrecer este ejercicio es describir la multiplicidad de experiencias, dificultades y gratificaciones, que rodean el lanzamiento de una empresa tecnológica nacida del interior del sistema científico nacional de nuestro país.

This paper aims to describe the experience gained on the creation of biocódices, an Argentinian research and development company for genomics and bioinformatics. Like any company born from the hope of generating a scientific and commercial achievement, this work will be about the reasons why, how and for what has emerged this technology-based company. I think the best that can offer this exercise is to describe the diversity of experiences, challenges and rewards, surrounding the launch of a technology company from the gut of the national scientific system in our country.
