El espacio político de centro derecha en la Argentina postneoliberal. Una aproximación a la reconfiguración identitaria de la UCR

Abstract

El artículo apunta a mostrar algunos avances en torno a pensar la dinámica política del espacio de centro derecha. Existen dificultades a la hora de referir a ese objeto. A lo largo del trabajo podremos observar como la UCR intentó construir su identidad en torno al progresismo. No obstante, sostenemos que existió una reconfiguración del discurso del partido a lo largo de la presidencia de Néstor Kirchner que los fue corriendo y ubicando a la derecha del espectro político, más allá que la UCR siguió, en algunos momentos, percibiéndose como un partido progresista. Este giro se consolidó durante la gestión de Cristina Fernández, sobre todo luego de 2009 en donde el oficialismo lanzó una serie de iniciativas tendientes a profundizar transformaciones sociales.

Néstor Kirchner’s presidency in 2003 brought about a deep discussion within political parties and groups in Argentina. This issue was addressed by a series of works that focused on the dynamics of popular movements and strategies of popular sectors to the new scenario that involved President Kirchner. Likewise, other approaches discussed the nature and characteristics of Kirchnerismo. Given the above, this paper proposes an approach to the period, but addressing the study of “center-right” and “right” identities that have had less coverage from sociology and political science. Deepening the political dynamics of the center-right space is critical when thinking the whole political process. That is why we want to analyze the articulation of “right” political identities in contemporary hegemonic disputes in Argentina.
