Experiencias interculturales en las aulas universitarias: el caso de los jóvenes wichí en la Universidad Nacional de Salta (Argentina)

Abstract

El artículo se inscribe en el marco de los actuales análisis de la Antropología de la Educación en busca del sentido y el significado que guarda, para las poblaciones aborígenes, el acceso y la permanencia en las instituciones de formación superior (principalmente, las universidades). Se narra, desde una perspectiva cualitativa y de corte etnográfico, los procesos generados en una clase introductoria a la temática de la “cultura”, en la cual, la participación de cuatro jóvenes provenientes de la etnía wichí otorga un giro inesperado, tanto a la discusión sobre el concepto de cultura, como a otros relacionados (diversidad, lengua y pertenencia étnica) La reconstrucción de los sucesos (y de los significados atribuidos a los mismos) se realiza a partir de entrevistas semi-estructuradas a la docente a cargo del curso y a dos de los jóvenes wichí participantes. A partir de estos relatos se articulan diversas tramas en dónde se entrecruzan diferentes modos de percibir la diversidad y de pensar los procesos de identificación en contextos áulicos.

This article is under the current analyses of Educational Anthropology. It searches for the meaning and the significance it has for these communities, the access and permanence of their members in the institutions of high education, being Universities the main target. Its narrates from a qualitative and ethnographic perspective, the processes generated from an introductory class to the topic of “culture” in which, the participation of four young adults that belong to the ethnic community wichí, gave an unspected turn. It became into a debate when it reached the concepts of culture and others related to it such as diversity, language and ethnic property. The reconstructions of events (and the significance attributed to them) were done based on semi-structured interviews to the teacher in charge of the class and to two of the four young students from the wichí community. From the different telling it was possible a diversity of schemes, where different ways of perceiving the concept of diversity and the way of seeing the processes of identity in the context of a classroom, collide.
