Factores que enganchan y desenganchan en la tarea de enseñar

Abstract

El compromiso docente ha recibido poca atención en la literatura científica si se lo compara con la implicación de los estudiantes; su estudio se revaloriza con la puesta en valor de la perspectiva contextual, desde donde se considera al docente como pieza clave para promoverlo. En este trabajo se exponen y se analizan los factores que delimitan el compromiso de los maestros que imparten clases en el nivel primaria, a partir de un estudio orientado a conocer las percepciones construidas por docentes en ejercicio. El estudio se realizó en el año 2016, con la participación de 22 maestros, bajo consentimiento informado. Para la recolección de datos se usó una entrevista semiestructurada, aplicada de manera individual. Entre los resultados encontrados, cuatro categorías delimitan los rasgos que comprometen y desenganchan en la tarea de enseñar en torno al aula, los estudiantes, los colegas, la familia y las tareas administrativas. Los hallazgos de este trabajo son útiles para pensar acciones tendientes a favorecer la implicación de los maestros en el contexto laboral.

The dedication of teaching has received a low level of attention in scientific literature as compared to the involvement of students; its study is revalued with the valuing of the contextual perspective, where the teacher is considered to be a key piece in promoting it. In this article, the factors that define the dedication of teachers who teach at a primary school level are defined and stated, based on a study focused on knowing the perceptions created by practicing teachers. Said study was carried out in 2016 with the contribution of 22 teachers, who were all under informed consent. For the gathering of data, a semi-structured interview administered individually was used. Amongst the results found, four categories define the aspects that commit and disengage the task of teaching regarding the classroom, the students, the colleagues, the family and the administrative tasks. The discoveries made in this article are of use to the suggestion of actions that promote the involvement of teachers in the work environment.
