¿Qué dicen los niños acerca de la Ciencia? Significaciones construidas sobre diferentes actividades de Comunicación Pública de la Ciencia

Abstract

El artículo tiene por objetivo compartir los resultados de un trabajo que se desarrolló en el marco del proyecto de investigación “Comunicación Pública de la Ciencia en Contextos Educativos Diversos. Percepciones de los participantes”. Nos referimos a las percepciones de estudiantes de 5º y 6º grado de escuelas primarias, de gestión estatal y privada, del sur de la provincia de Córdoba. Los resultados permiten conocer que los estudiantes valoraron positivamente estos espacios de intercambio con investigadores/as. Reconocen como positivo el empleo de recursos diversos, los temas, el clima y el ambiente generado que incluye compartir con los amigos. Señalaron que no modificarían nada, pero que por momentos les molestaba el bullicio, el ruido o esperar el turno para preguntar. Aprendieron conceptos e información científica y más acerca de los modos de trabajo de los científicos. Pudieron mencionar nuevos intereses así como saber más sobre algún tema.

The article aims to share the results of a study developed in the framework of the research project “Public Communication of Science in Various Educational Contexts. Participants' perceptions”. We refer to the perceptions of students in 5th and 6th grade of elementary schools, state and private management, in the south of the province (Cordoba). The results show that children valued positively these exchange spaces with researchers. Among the aspects that stood out are the use of diverse resources, themes, climate and the generated environment that includes sharing with friends. They indicated that they would not modify anything, but that at times they were disturbed by the hustle, noise or waiting for the turn to ask. The children recognized that they learned concepts and scientific information and more about the scientists’ ways of working. They were able to mention new interests like, for example, knowing more than one topic.
