Relaciones entre pares: aceptación, rechazo, victimización, agresión. Su importancia para el diseño de intervenciones en salud mental en educación primaria

Abstract

Los objetivos del trabajo fueron: (a) identificar el status de aceptación, rechazo, agresión y victimización entre escolares y (b) describir la relación entre aceptación, rechazo, victimización y agresión. Participaron 114 escolares de 4° a 7° grado, entre 9 y 14 años de edad (M= 10.67, DS= 1.70) de una escuela primaria estatal de Mendoza. Se utilizó el Cuestionario Bull de Relaciones Socioafectivas en el Aula (Méndez & Cerezo, 2010). Los resultados indicaron que ninguno de los escolares identificados como aceptados, fueron nominados como rechazados, agresivos o víctimas. Quienes fueron rechazados, fueron considerados agresores en 4°y 5° grado, tal patrón no se presentó en 6° y 7° grado. El abordaje del acoso escolar debería contemplar la dinámica grupal y no solo las características individuales.

The aims of the study were: (a) To identify the status of acceptance, rejection, aggression, victimization among peers and (b) to describe the relationship among acceptance, rejection, aggression, victimization. Participants: 114 school children from 4th to 7th grade, between 9 and 14 years of age (M = 10.67, SD = 1.70), from a state primary school in Argentina. The Bull Questionnaire of Socio-Emotional Relationships in the Classroom (Méndez & Cerezo, 2010) was used. The results indicated that the schoolchildren who were labeled as accepted were not rejected, victims or aggressors. In 4th and 5th grade, those who were rejected were also labeled as aggressors, but not so in 6th and 7th grade. The intervention of bullying should consider group dynamics and not just the individual characteristics.
