A 100 años de la Reforma Universitaria. Tres postulados para pensar la universidad hoy

Abstract

Lo que sigue no va a ser original como aporte a las distintas formas de pensar la Reforma en la actualidad, pero no por ello será en vano discusión algunas cuestiones que muchas veces se asumen como dadas, y que quizá merezcan alguna reflexión con mayor profundidad. Para ello, partiremos de un primer interrogante general: ¿Qué significa hoy ser reformista a la luz de los principios del ´18? Posteriormente, rescato tres postulados del Movimiento Reformista -calidad de la enseñanza, extensión y democratización - que serán analizados en su significado tanto en el pasado como en la actualidad. Concluyo sumándome a la gran mayoría que sostiene que, si bien los tiempos han cambiado, sus postulados están tan vigentes como en el ‘18, porque sigue y seguirá presente el “orden conservador” ante el cual los Reformistas lucharon.

What follows is not going to be original as a contribution to the different ways of thinking about the Reformation nowadays, but it will not be in vain discussion some questions that are often assumed as given, and that perhaps deserve some reflection in greater depth. To do this, we will start with a first general question: What does it mean to be a reformer today in light of the principles of ‘18? Later, I rescued three postulates of the Reform Movement -quality of education, extension and democratization- that will be analyzed in their meaning both in the past and in the present. I conclude adding to the great majority that maintains that, although the times have changed, their postulates are as valid as in ‘18, because the “conservative order” continues and will continue to be present before which the Reformists fought.
