The present article aims to account for the strategies deployed by women from poorer sectors of Suburban Buenos Aires (Argentina), while being on Mandatory Social and Preventive Isolation (Aislamiento Social, Preventivo y Obligatorio), at home, in the neighborhood and within the community, for everyday management of healthcare and risk. From a qualitative aproach, we observe two levels of analysis: one centered on an “ethic of care”, which observes the strategies fueled by social referents, and also centered on the actions of control/care deployed in the neighborhood; the other group, focused on the notions of health and wellbeing (broad and restricted) conceived by women as the primary caregivers, as well as the new therapeutic agendas outlined in family management of caregiving and healthcare.
