Pulgarcito, aportes para nuevas lecturas

Abstract

En este artículo se revisará críticamente el libro Diario Secreto de Pulgarcito escrito por F. Lechermeier e ilustrado por R. Dautremer, comparándolo con el texto original de Perrault. Se intentará dar respuesta la pregunta ¿cómo se modifican los textos clásicos?, por medio de la noción de traducción como proceso de operación cultural a través de las líneas teóricas propuestas por Walter Benjamin. A partir, del análisis del caso particular del texto seleccionado, se pensará cómo se han modificado ciertos temas en la narración y qué aportes se realizan en la interpretación de una nueva lectura. De esta manera, concebimos los cuentos clásicos como documentos históricos, para así articularlos con los conceptos de hegemonía y disidencia.

The Secret Diary of Tom Thumb witten by R. Lechemeier and illustrated by R. Dautremer, will be analyzed by comparing it with the original story collected by Perrault. We will try to answer to the question ¿how the classic tales change with time?, through the notion of translation as a process of cultural operation following the theoric proposal of Walter Benjamin. Based on the analysis of the selected case, we will think how certain themes has been modified in the narration and which contributions has been done in the interpretation of a new reading. We conceive the classic tales as history documents, to articulate them with the notions of hegemony and dissidence.
