Los ojos del universo: la existencia como origen afectivo del sentido en el pensamiento de Jan Patocka

Abstract

El artículo se ocupa de explicitar el vínculo entre afectividad, sentido y existencia en Patocka. Primero muestra en qué medida toda configuración de sentido se origina en una protoafectividad a través de la cual el universo adviene a la fenomenalidad en la existencia. En segundo lugar determina por qué pueden caracterizarse como asubjetivos la noción de existencia y el origen del sentido en el pensamiento de Patocka. Luego explicita la “vida en la amplitud” como consumación del movimiento que impulsa a generar sentido desde la protoafectividad. Finalmente señala por qué en la filosofía de Patocka convergen ontología y ética

The article attempts to explain the link between affectivity, meaning, and existence in Jan Patocka’s thought. First, it shows how every configuration of meaning originates in a primal affectivity through which the universe comes to phenomenality in existence. Second, it establishes why the notion of existence and the origin of meaning can be characterized as non-subjective in Patocka’s thought. Then, the article goes on to explain “life in the amplitude” as the fulfillment of the movement that impels us to generate meaning on the basis of primal affectivity. Finally, it shows why ontology and ethics converge in Patocka’s philosophy
