Olga Orozco: hacia una conceptualzación trascendente de la temporalidad

Abstract

El tiempo constituye un tema primordial en la obra de Olga Orozco. Se trata de un aspecto de su universo literario que la crítica no ha abordado de manera sistemática. El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en el examen de la representación del tiempo en su lírica. Sin embargo, se establecerán en el estudio relaciones con el corpus narrativo y ensayístico dela autora. La concepción metafísica y trascendente de la temporalidad es un índice de su filiación con la poética neorromántica del 40, aunque adquiera posteriormente rasgos singulares.El análisis permitirá mostrar además que la representación del tiempo sufre modificaciones durante desarrollo de su universo imaginario. Su idea del tiempo se relaciona con los principios de creación/caída y acabamiento teleológico. Se fundamenta en el imaginario bíblico, el pensamiento gnóstico, en lecturas literarias y filosóficas y en experiencias de vida.

Time is a major issue in Olga Orozco’s work. It is an aspect of his literary universe that criticism has not systematically addressed. The objective of the present work consists in the examination of the representation of time in her poetry. However, relationships with the author’s narrative and essay corpus will be established in the study. The metaphysical and transcendent conception of temporality is an index of its affiliation with the Neo-Romantic poetics of ‘40, although later, it acquires singular features. The analysis will also show that the representation of time undergoes modifications during the development of its imaginary universe. Her ideas of time are related to the principles of creation/fall and teleological finishing. They are based, moreover, on the biblical imaginary, Gnostic thought, on literary and philosophical readings and on life experiences.
