Resumen
Podonomus is one of the richest genera of Podonominae, with 44 species described. With wide distribution in South America, Podonomus species are an important component of aquatic ecosystems such as streams and madicolous habitats. However, its larval stages have been historically overlooked, with only six species described. After visiting Brundin’s collection, we were able to recover information on larvae of three species mentioned in his monograph. Here we describe the larvae of P. apolobambae and P. setosus, provide a broad description of the P. albinervis larva and present an identification key to the known larvae of the genus, including the other five species whose larvae are described, P. amarali, P. fastigians, P. pepinellii, P. quito and P. tehuelche.
