Poesía y publicidad : notas sobre la editorial Tierra Baldía

Abstract

Propongo un recorrido en torno a la experiencia editorial Tierra Baldía (1980), cuyo principal gestor fuera Rodolfo Fogwill. Considero pertinente leer en el catálogo de esta efímera editorial la materialización de una voluntad de irrupción en la escena literaria argentina. El catálogo de autores publicados - Leónidas Lamborghini, Osvaldo Lamborghini, Néstor Perlongher, Oscar Steimberg y el propio Fogwill-resulta una construcción contundente de ciertas modalidades de la palabra literaria emergentes hacia 1980. Arriesgo como hipótesis que al reunir esta serie de nombres, Fogwill comenzaba a trazar las condiciones para realizar una operación personal, es decir, la creación del horizonte de posibilidad en el cual insertar su propia obra literaria; en consecuencia, el Fogwill-escritor es inexplicable sin el Fogwill-editor.

I propose a brief overview of the editing project Tierra Baldía (1980), which main manager was Rodolfo Fogwill. The catalog of this ephemeral publishing house can be read as a will to break in the Argentinean literature scene. Indeed, the catalog of published authors –Leónidas Lamborghini, Osvaldo Lamborghini, Néstor Perlongher, Oscar Steimberg and Fogwill itself– was relevant sample of the emerging literature toward 1980. I conjecture as hypothesis that through the reunion of these authors, Fogwill initiated an operation of his own; this is the creation of a horizon of possibility for his literary work. In consequence, Fogwill as a writer is inexplicable without the consideration of his publisher roll.
