Intelectuales, sociedad y política en los siglos XVIII y XIX: la historia intelectual en el espejo de Halperin Donghi

Abstract

El artículo tiene dos objetivos: a) examinar la obra de Tulio Halperin Donghi referida a las relaciones entre intelectuales, sociedad y política durante los siglos XVIII y XIX; b) indagar como su producción incidió en la agenda de investigaciones de la historia intelectual. Para ello, y tras una breve aproximación a su obra y al lugar que ésta tiene en la historiografía argentina, se desarrolla un análisis de sus principales trabajos sobre la historia intelectual del siglo XIX y los aportes que realizó en ese campo.

The article has two objectives: a) to examine the work of Tulio Halperin Donghi referred to the relations between intellectuals, society and politics during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries; b) to investigate how his production affected the research agenda of intellectual history. For this, and after a brief approach to his work and its place in Argentine historiography, we analyze his studies about intellectual history of the 19th century and its main contributions in that field.
