El campo estatal en cuestión: Brechas entre las demandas feministas y políticas públicas

Abstract

En las últimas décadas el campo estatal se presenta para los movimientos feministas latinoamericanos como una institución donde plantear sus demandas. Por su parte los Estados aparentan ser receptivos a ciertos problemas. Pero hay un umbral intraspasable entre las reivindicaciones de estos movimientos y los límites estatales a la garantía de los derechos de las mujeres.En este artículo comparto reflexiones sobre las demandas que las feministas han planteado al gobierno de Mendoza (Argentina) y cómo este ha respondido a través de políticas para garantizar o no esos derechos. Las formas en que los gobiernos procesan las demandas feministas ponen en cuestión al campo estatal como espacio donde instalar estas demandas y plantea la necesidad de buscar alternativas.

During the last few decades, the state has emerged as an institution on which the Latin American feminist movements can pose their demands. For their part, the states appear receptive to certain problems. But there is an impassable threshold between the claims from these movements and the state limits to the guaranteeing of women’s rights, which we will analyze. In this paper I share reflections on the demands presented to the government of Mendoza (Argentina), and how the latter has responded through policies to guarantee those rights, or not. The ways in which governments process feminist demands question the state field as a space where these claims may be presented, and raise the need to find alternatives.
