“La centralidad de la noción de esquema corporal como quiasmo de espacio y movimiento”

Abstract

“Esquema corporal” es una noción central en los análisis de Fenomenología de la Percepción. Sin embargo, el propio M. Merleau-Ponty sostiene en la nota de trabajo “Dualismo-Filosofía” que en la obra de 1945 no había logrado superar aún el punto de vista dualista, el cual supuestamente determinaría esa noción. Considerando este hecho, ¿cómo se explica la continua presencia de aquella noción en los posteriores análisis sobre el movimiento y el espacio?¡En el presente trabajo consideraré la noción de “esquema corporal” propuesta por Merleau-Ponty en tres momentos: primero, en el capítulo dedicado al espacio y la motricidad humana en Fenomenología de la Percepción, segundo, en el curso titulado “El mundo sensible y el mundo de la expresión” y, por último, Lo Visible y lo Invisible y las notas de los años 1959 y 1960. Mi objetivo consiste en reconstruir </span>la evolución de la noción de “esquema corporal” para clarificar cómo ésta se integra en la ontología de la carne.

“Body schema” is a central notion in the analysis of Phenomenology of Perception. Nevertheless, in the working note entitled “Du- alism-Philosophy”, Maurice Merleau-Ponty holds that in 1945 he has still not overcome the dual- ist point of view, which allegedly would deter- mine that notion. Considering this fact, how could you explain the continuous presence of that notion in the later analysis of space and movement? In this paper I will consider the notion of “body schema” proposed by Merleau-Ponty in three different periods: first, the chapter devot- ed to the space and the human motricity in Phenomenology of Perception, second, the lecture “The Sensible Word and the World of Expression”, and, finally, the unfinished work Visible and Invisible and the working notes from 1959-1960. My present goal is to reconstruct the evolution of the notion of “body schema” in order to clarify how it becomes integrated into the ontology of flesh.
